Itinerary
Day 1 :Negambo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! On the first day of your holiday, you will meet and greet by SAYLANKA Tour representative and your private chauffeur guide at the lobby of Colombo International Airport. Take a leisurely drive to Negombo, where your journey begins. Check-into the hotel, recover any jetlag and spend your time at leisure.
Day 2 and 3:Dambulla
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to Dambulla. Along the way, stop at Pinnawala to witness orphaned animals – elephants, in their natural habitats. Other than an orphanage, it functions as a captive, nursery and a breeding ground for the elephants in need and as a home for the homeless elephants who need special care. Do not miss out milk feeding time, hence ecommend to reach there at least by 09:00 AM!
Spend next couple of days in Dambulla, climbing the magnificient ancient rock fortress and one of the archeological treasure in South Asia, Sigiriya; discovering scale models of the buildings and temples of the Polonnaruwa city, a former royal city dating back to the fifth century and go on a safari at Minneriya National Park to spot herds of elephants congregate near the giant reservoir.
Day 4 :Kandy
Next morning after a hearty breakfast at the hotel, leave for Kandy. On the way, visit Dambulla Cave Temple with spectacular Buddha-filled interiors and also known as the best-preserved cave temple complex in the country. Thereon, stop by a spice garden to get knowledge into a deep-rooted industry of flavor generation along with their attributes. Having arrived in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses the only surviving relic of Buddha, during evening prayer services. Evening witness traditional Kandyan dancing and drumming performance. This is an energetic show accompanied by dancing troupes and drummers clad in extravagant traditional costumes ensuring a great way to spend the evening in Kandy.
Day 5 :Nuwaraeliya
After a peaceful stay in Kandy, travel towards the tea country – Nuwara Eliya which is also known as ‘Little England’. Be amazed with emerald green tea leaves, cascading waterfalls and quaint colonial buildings dotted all over place which would also make you feel like you are in an English city!
During your stay, experience the art of making Ceylon tea from withering to bulk packing with a visit to a working tea plantation and a factory taste a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon tea. Capture absolute stunning sceneries and natural beauty of Nuwara Eliya, breath in fresh air and take a pleasant stroll around Gregory lake in the evening are some other experiences you can enjoy.

Day 7 :Yala
Following a mouthwatering breakfast at the hotel, journey from hills to islands’ wild – Yala. Along the route, witness Ravana waterfall and do not forget to take a selfie with the plunging falls in the background.Later, gather for an evening safari through Yala National Park with an expert naturalist. Keep your eyes peeled for the endangered Sri Lankan leopard as well as on other widlife such as elephants, wild boards and birdlife.
Day 8 & 9 :Galle
After a restful sleep in the wild, set off to Galle which is home to an impressive World Heritage-listed Dutch fort. This is popular as the best example for the fortified city in Asia built by Europeans by showing the mix of European architectural styles as well as South Asian traditions. In the evening, you may wander around this historic fort and watch the sunset from the ramparts. It would make sure a picture perfect end for the day!
Day 10 :Transfer to Airport
After all good things come to an end, you will be safely driven to the Colombo international airport for a safe journey home with cherishable memories of Sri Lanka Classic Holiday!
